An ascot tie, also referred to as a cravat, is a large, usually brightly coloured necktie that’s tied in a unfastened knot with the ends hanging down. It’s sometimes worn with formal apparel, akin to a tuxedo or morning coat. Ascot ties are sometimes related to horse racing, as they’re historically worn by jockeys.
Ascot ties might be produced from quite a lot of supplies, together with silk, wool, and cotton. They’re sometimes patterned, with frequent patterns together with stripes, checks, and paisleys. Ascot ties will also be plain, wherein case they’re usually produced from a solid-colored material.
